BI Data Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

Data Pipeline & Dashboard Development

• Design, develop and maintain scalable & efficient data pipelines to collect, process,
and store structured data from multiple sources.
• Build robust ETL (Extract, Transform & Load) processes to support analytics and
reporting needs.
• Automate data workflows and ensure timely availability of data for analytics teams.

Data Architecture & Infrastructure

• Assist in developing and maintaining data architectures, including data
warehouses, data lakes, and cloud-based storage solutions.
• Optimize database performance, query execution, and system scalability.
• Collaborate with team to ensure data integrity, quality, and security standards are
met across platforms.

Collaboration & Support

• Work closely with data scientists, data analyst, and business intelligence teams to
understand data requirements and deliver solutions that support analytics and
reporting.
• Assist with data integration projects, ensuring seamless connections between
various systems and databases
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for data related issues, ensuring high
data availability and accuracy.

Data Governance & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with data governance policies, security protocols, and data
privacy regulations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a
related field.
• 4 to 5 years of experience in data engineering or a related field, with proven
experience in building and maintaining data pipelines, ETL processes, and data
architecture.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL, and Java.
• Hands on experience with data platforms and tools like Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, or
similar.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
• Experience with data warehousing tools such as Redshift, BigQuery, or Snowflake.
• Experience in building and managing relational & NoSQL databases (e.g. MySQL,
PostgresSQL, MongoDB).
• Solid understanding of data modeling, database design, and ETL principles.
