Job Summary:

The SAP Master Data Associate – Finance (FICO) is responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and compliance of enterprise financial master data across SAP S/4HANA and SAP MDG systems. Reporting directly to the Head of MDM, you will manage financial data objects, deliver L2/L3 functional support, enforce internal controls, and support enterprise-wide data migration initiatives.

Work Responsibilities:

  • Master Data Governance: Create, update, and deactivate financial master objects (GL Accounts, Cost/Profit Centers, Business Partners, Asset Records, House Banks) in accordance with global naming conventions and governance frameworks.
  • Operations & L2/L3 Support: Resolve incoming support tickets within agreed SLAs (< 24h standard / < 4h high priority). Analyze root causes of posting errors and implement permanent fixes.
  • Data Migration & Cleansing: Perform data profiling, validation, and migration using SAP S/4HANA Migration Cockpit and LSMW for business rollouts and integrations.
  • Compliance & Auditing: Enforce Segregation of Duties (SoD), internal controls (SOX/IFRS), and maintain audit trails for periodic compliance reviews.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Information Systems, or a related field.

Experience:

Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience in SAP FICO Master Data Management or Functional Support (FS00, KS01, KE51, AS01, BP).
Practical knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Finance or ECC 6.0 and SAP MDG workflows.
Proficiency in advanced MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Power Query) and basic SQL query building.
Solid understanding of core financial accounting structures (Chart of Accounts, AP/AR reconciliation, Asset accounting).

Technical Certification / Courses Required:

SAP Certified Application Associate (S/4HANA Financial Accounting or MDG).

Strong problem-solver, clear communicator, and comfortable collaborating across Finance, IT, and functional SAP teams.
