Position Summary:

The SAP Master Data Associate – Supply Chain & Commercial (MM/SD) is responsible for maintaining the accuracy, standardization, and integrity of material, vendor, customer, and pricing master data across SAP S/4HANA and SAP MDG systems. Reporting directly to the Head of MDM, you will execute end-to-end data creation and change requests, provide L2/L3 operational support, enforce data governance frameworks, and prevent duplicate or incomplete records.

Work Responsibilities:

  • Master Data Governance: Create, update, extend, and deactivate supply chain and commercial master records (Material Master, Business Partners - Customer/Vendor, Purchasing Info Records, Source Lists, Condition Records) following global taxonomy rules.
  • Operations & L2/L3 Support: Resolve incoming supply chain data tickets within established SLAs (< 24h standard / < 4h high priority). Troubleshoot posting errors related to material views, valuation classes, and customer/vendor account groups.
  • Data Migration & Cleansing: Conduct regular data profiling, de-duplication checks (VAT/Tax IDs, MPN), and batch data loads using SAP Migration Cockpit, Mass Maintenance (MM17, MASS), and LSMW.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with Procurement, Sales Operations, Logistics, and Plant Management to validate MRP parameters, storage locations, sales views, and Incoterms prior to record activation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience in SAP MM/SD Master Data Management or Functional Support (MM01/MM02, BP, ME11, EORD, VK11).
  • Practical knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Materials Management (MM) and Sales & Distribution (SD) data structures.
  • Familiarity with SAP MDG workflows or ticket-based master data workflow tools (e.g., Odoo, ServiceNow).
  • Advanced MS Excel proficiency (VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, Pivot Tables, Data Validation) and basic SQL/data analysis capabilities.
  • Solid understanding of supply chain logistics, valuation classes, unit of measure (UoM) conversions, and pricing condition hierarchies.

Technical Certification / Courses Required:

SAP Certified Application Associate (S/4HANA Sourcing and Procurement or Sales).

Other Requirements:

He will be looking after MM and SD master data and will be reporting to MDM lead. He should follow the company wide SOP and will work closely with stake holders.
