Position Summary:

The SAP Master Data Associate – Manufacturing & Quality (PP/QM) is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and operational readiness of manufacturing structures and quality management master records across SAP S/4HANA and SAP MDG systems. Reporting directly to the Head of MDM, you will govern Bills of Materials (BOMs), Work Centers, Routings, Inspection Plans, and Master Inspection Characteristics (MICs) to support seamless production planning, product costing, and shop floor execution.

Work Responsibilities:

  • Master Data Governance: Create, update, deactivate, and audit manufacturing and quality records (BOMs, Work Centers, Routings, Production Versions, MICs, Inspection Plans, Quality Info Records) adhering to engineering change management (ECM) and global taxonomy rules.
  • Operations & L2/L3 Support: Resolve incoming shop floor and quality data tickets within established SLAs (< 24h standard / < 4h high priority). Troubleshoot MRP explosion errors, routing cost centre mismatches, and inspection lot creation failures.
  • Data Migration & Cleansing: Conduct routine data profiling, component validity checks, activity type linkage reviews, and batch updates using SAP Migration Cockpit, Mass Maintenance (CEWB, MASS), and LSMW.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Plant Engineering, Quality Assurance, Production Operations, and Plant Controlling to validate activity pricing formulas, inspection strategies, and component scrap factors prior to production activation.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, Information Systems, or a related technical field.

Experience:

  • Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience in SAP PP/QM Master Data Management or Functional Support (CS01/CS02, CR01/CR02, CA01/CA02, QS21, QP01, C223).
  • Practical knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Production Planning (PP) and Quality Management (QM) data structures and dependencies.
  • Familiarity with Engineering Change Management (ECM / ECN workflows) and ticket-based workflow engines (e.g., Odoo, ServiceNow).
  • Advanced MS Excel proficiency (VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, Pivot Tables) and basic SQL data query capabilities.
  • Strong understanding of product costing dependencies (BOMs & Work Center activity types), routings, and quality sampling procedures.

Technical Certification / Courses Required:

SAP Certified Application Associate (S/4HANA Production Planning & Manufacturing or Quality Management).
